Hi beauties! Here is the second installment of my exciting Chanel shopping experience. In my previous post, I unboxed my new Jumbo Classic Flap Bag and explained why I selected it. As I had mentioned, purchasing this bag was a momentous occasion for me, and that is why I wanted to celebrate it with you with these two posts. In this post, I’m going to share what it was like to finally live the moment I had been daydreaming about for the last decade!
My mom came to visit me for the holidays. I really wanted her to experience shopping at Chanel with me, so the day after Christmas we headed to Rodeo Drive with Brian. When we arrived, the store was bustling with post-holiday shoppers. I was briefly concerned that the sales people would all be too busy to give us much attention, but I was soon proven incorrect. A sales woman was quickly there to help us. I told her that I was interested in the Jumbo Classic Flap in Black Caviar Leather, but I was not sure if I wanted gold or silver hardware. She brought me both gold and silver so that I could try them on. Though I always wear silver/white gold/platinum jewelry, I decided to go with the gold hardware since that is the way the bag was originally made. Since I had been planning this purchase for so long, I made my selection within just a few minutes.
Once I told the sales woman my choice, we wandered around the store a bit in order to revel in the experience. They even brought us some delicious coffee and cookies to enjoy. I had envisioned this occasion for so long and it was exactly the way I had dreamed. I actually forgot how busy the store was as I snacked with my mom and soaked up the moment. Nicely done, Chanel!
After I made my purchase, I was handed over an iconic black Chanel shopping bag. This huge bag was actually quite heavy to carry, but I felt like I was walking on air! Of course we had to finish off the day with a little celebratory photoshoot outside of the store to commemorate the occasion. It was such an amazing day! I hope you enjoyed being a part of it with me through these photos.
